Democracy Now:
We watched the news of the world in a 10 minute video. There were many headlines that they talked about and I took notes.

People in History: Chapter 2- Rough Riding Reflection:
We read the first chapter of People’s History which was about sports and how it was used. After I read through and annotated, I summarized the text and answered the question "Does sport shape society or does society shape sport? Explain”.
Reading Log:
For the reading log, we had to read and annotate a text called Who Deserves What?// Aristotle. After that, I wrote out a couple things that I could talk about during our socratic seminar.
I am not that proud of the work I did this week because it didn’t really require that much effort. For the Democracy Now notes, I just copied what Matt was writing on the board and I didn’t really do anything. For the reading log, I just answered the questions even though I didn’t really understand it until after the socratic seminar. However I was proud of the reflection that I did this week. I achieved last week’s goal, and I was really fascinated by the topic of this week’s chapter. I included a lot of my opinion and I didn’t have to cover such a large range of topics like last week so I could go much more in depth.
During the socratic seminar, it was interesting to hear other people’s opinions on the text that we read. I thought that the conversation was more interesting than the text. I didn’t contribute much to this, besides a word I didn’t understand. I learned a lot about justice and how you can’t really cut out bias and emotions from it. I could be more involved in the conversation.
